Background. Vision. Reconnecting.

Dulguun Otgonjav is a Belgian-based interior architect and founder of Dulguun Otgonjav Interior Architect, a studio established in 2026 in Sint-Katelijne-Waver, Belgium. He holds a Master’s degree in Interior Architecture from the University of Antwerp.
The studio approaches interior architecture as a thoughtful dialogue between people, materials and space. Dulguun’s work is rooted in a deep respect for natural materials in their purest form. Rather than relying on heavily processed or synthetic finishes, his designs embrace materials as they are — allowing their texture, temperature, scent and visual warmth to shape the sensory experience of a space.
This material honesty forms the foundation of an architectural language that is calm, tactile and timeless.
At the heart of the studio lies a simple yet important belief: quality living environments should not be a luxury. Interior architecture surrounds us every day and plays a profound role in our well-being. Dulguun is driven by the idea that spaces should support people’s lives by offering comfort, clarity and a sense of belonging.
Each project begins with careful listening. Through open conversations and collaboration, Dulguun seeks to understand the identity, needs and aspirations of the people who will inhabit the space. These insights shape interiors that reflect personal stories while creating environments that feel both natural and deeply personal.
The philosophy of the studio is also strongly influenced by Dulguun’s Mongolian heritage. In the nomadic traditions of Mongolia, living is closely connected to nature, simplicity and adaptability. Shelter is not defined by excess or permanence, but by its ability to create warmth, protection and harmony with the surrounding landscape.
This perspective continues to inform Dulguun’s approach to interior architecture today. His work explores how contemporary interiors can reconnect people with natural materials, sensory experience and a quieter rhythm of living.
Rather than pursuing scale or commercial expansion, the studio focuses on meaningful projects where attention, care and craftsmanship remain central. Quality over quantity is a guiding principle, ensuring that each project receives the depth of thought and refinement it deserves.
For Dulguun Otgonjav, interior architecture is ultimately about creating spaces where people feel truly at home — places that nurture everyday life while quietly reconnecting us with the natural world.
